About The Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Storage Coordinator to join our Central Production Unit.

This key operational role supports our production, dispatch, and kitchen teams to ensure the efficient flow of stock, ingredients, packaging, and supplies throughout the business.

Working closely with chefs, section heads, and the operations team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, controlling, and issuing stock while maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced food production environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving Goods & Stock Control
  • Receive and inspect supplier deliveries, ensuring all goods match delivery documentation and quality standards.
  • Check quantities, specifications, and product quality, reporting any discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of chilled and frozen deliveries, rejecting any goods that do not meet food safety requirements.
  • Store products correctly within designated storage areas, maintaining strict food safety standards.
  • Implement and maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation procedures.
  • Ensure all stock is correctly labelled and stored across chilled, frozen, and dry storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate stock records using Foodbuy and support daily ordering processes.
  • Assist with monthly stock takes and inventory management activities.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and safe working practices.
  • Ensure chemicals are stored and used correctly in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Maintain clean, hygienic, and fully stocked handwash stations.
  • Support the management of chemical and disposable stock levels.
  • Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
  • Operational Support
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen, production, and dispatch teams to support daily operations.
  • Pick, prepare, and distribute ingredients and stock to production sections as required.
  • Accurately weigh and prepare ingredients ahead of production schedules.
  • Support dispatch activities, including order picking, packing, and preparation for delivery.
  • Assist with deliveries when required.
  • Monitor stock levels across food, packaging, disposables, and equipment storage areas.
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings.
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by management.
