Shift Pattern: Daytime hours, occasional evenings

The Holburne Museum Café (Operated by Graysons) is looking for a head chef to lead its kitchen team as we prepare to move into our new kitchen space. As head chef, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing event menus
  • Writing and executing a seasonal menu for the café
  • Stocktaking and ordering
  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and record keeping

Daily, you will be preparing a selection of pastries, cakes and sandwiches for counter service, as well as a variety of hot dishes and specials made to order. We also regularly oversee events for the Holburne Museum, covering a wide range of catering requirements including buffets, canapés, sit-down meals and more.

In May, we are due to move from our temporary kitchen unit to a new kitchen space in the basement and are looking for someone to help oversee the transition and elevate the menu offer.

The ideal candidate will be creative, driven and organized. Kitchen experience is essential and basic computer literacy will be required for stocktaking, ordering and other systems.
