Role: Business Development Manager South Central/South West – Education & Clubs
Territory/Location: Employed remotely in the South Central/South West. Required to attend regular meetings at the company HQ in Robertsbridge, East Sussex.
Competitive salary + discretional company bonus based on experience.

Role Purpose & Requirements:
We are seeking a talented, motivated and driven business development manager to manage our existing client base and generate new business opportunities in our growing school and club market in the South/South West territory. The goal of this hire is to accelerate our sales growth in the school and club sector across all Grays International brands, predominantly our Gilbert brand. For this role, you will be a motivated self-starter with an excellent knowledge of the sports industry in the UK, specifically the school and club market.

Grays International is a family run business with 170 years history in delivering the very best sporting products to the market through our world renowned market leading brands Gilbert Rugby, Gilbert Netball, Gray-Nicolls Cricket & Grays Hockey. While the heritage of our brands is in equipment, teamwear sales have accelerated significantly over the past decade. We now supply some of the world’s leading sports institutions and athletes with our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target growth opportunities in the territory across the education sector, predominantly schools, and secondly across grassroots clubs (80/20 split role).
- Devise and implement sales tactics to deliver on sales targets.
- Work with internal sales support teams to ensure the very best levels of service are achieved and maintained through your account base.
- With a widespread knowledge of our brand USPs and product collection, you will be tasked to present, negotiate and launch a go to market plan for each account.
Experience & Role Profile:
- You will be a motivated self-starter with a passion for sports.
- Excellent communication and time management skills are essential.
- Deep knowledge of the school and club market in the advertised territory is required.
- Ideally you will be experienced in B2B sales and can demonstrate management and growth across previous roles.
- Full driving license and ability to travel through advertised territory.
