Contract : 6-month fixed-term maternity cover role, with the possibility of extension. Full time, 35 hours per week

£27,000 per annum (pro-rated for a 6 month contract).

We are looking for a proactive individual to support the delivery of digital content and strategic campaigns for our professional membership organisation.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a small team to develop, implement and monitor our digital communication plans, reporting to the Digital and Marketing Manager and working closely with the Digital Marketing Officer.

You will be expected to regularly interact with teams from across the organisation, and directly with our membership, to create content that resonates with our audience.

The role offers a varied and challenging opportunity to create and develop content that showcases and supports our community, delivering specialised content to support all strategic areas including education, membership and recruitment and engagement campaigns.

You will typically need to be based in the office a minimum of three days a week with the remaining days based at home.

Occasional marketing support may be required during evening and weekend events (subject to business needs).

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Create digital campaigns in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Officer and under the direction of the Digital and Marketing Manager.
  • Discover and share stories from our membership and staff.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to innovate practices and our membership offers, driving change with regular improvements based on reporting insights.
  • Contribute dynamic content to our socials that brings the Inn’s activities to life, with photos, videos and reels.
  • Develop website content, including routine content updates, maintaining our house style and ensuring accuracy.
  • Support the copywriting, testing, and delivery of regular email marketing to our membership.

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • A proactive and flexible team player, ready to join a hands-on digital and marketing team.
  • A strong communicator with an eye for detail.
  • Proficient in using key digital marketing tools including, email marketing, CMS, CRM, and social scheduling and analytics tools.
  • Education or Membership organisation background would be beneficial.

Gray’s Inn is one of four Inns of Court responsible for calling barristers to the Bar of England and Wales.

The Inn provides continuing legal education post-qualification, a library, chapel, dining, scholarships, advocacy training and other facilities for students and barristers.
