The Business Development Support Manager will support the Deployment Solutions (DS) European Business Development Team in a number of key areas. These will predominantly be proposal writing, PPT deck preparation & builds, maintenance of standard company credentials, slide library subdecks, maintenance and collation of RFI FAQs and case studies. Secondary support responsibilities to include data and information collation (not creation) from SMEs, and responsibilities to support the early stage of the contracting process.

Responsibilities

  • To build and retain close working relationships with the Global Proposal / RFI team to utilise centre of excellence expertise in systems and processes.
  • To work closely with the Business Development Team and Proposal Line Management to understand the BD Team strategy, needs and priorities.
  • To provide preparation support to the BD Team by becoming an integral member of the team and working seamlessly across all functions to make the RFI / RFP / Pitch process as efficient as possible.
  • This will involve but not be limited to:
  • Requesting, collating and preparing data and information from SMEs across the business into a format that addresses the RFI / RFP needs and is clear, legible and in the required format.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of standard RFI responses to FAQs including financial statistics, employee numbers, service capabilities and geographies.
  • In collaboration with the BD Director, support the creation of the 'story flow' and the initial proposal / pitch deck content, using relevant templates, case studies, therapy area expertise, and other supporting evidence / materials.
  • Coordination and archiving of previous decks/proposal responses and the maintenance of a repository of updated slides in the global SharePoint environment that can be 'cherry picked' according to client needs.
  • Structuring / collation and presentation of metrics to provide the Business Development Team with strong and credible case studies; case studies to be catalogued in the SharePoint Case Study library.
  • Collaboration with the Operations Team to collate client (and employee) satisfaction scores to include in case studies / credentials decks.
  • Supporting the Business Development Team in the initial stages of the contracting process with Legal / GDM and Operations.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level with experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry in either a Marketing or a Sales role is essential.
  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of the Pharmaceutical or Outsourced Services sector, have excellent project management skills and be a strong team player.
  • In addition to a keen eye for detail, they need to have the ability to multi-task and work either as part of a team or under their own initiative to meet tight deadlines.
  • In addition to the above skill set, the ideal candidate must be highly proficient in the use of PowerPoint and Excel and be comfortable with manipulating and presenting data.
