Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (additional hours in line with role requirements)

Reporting to: Director of Public Sector Division

Sector Focus: NHS & Private Healthcare or Local Government & BlueLight (including associated partner ecosystems)

Role Purpose

The Client Director is Grayce’s primary growth driver within their sector, responsible for generating net new revenue, expanding existing client relationships and strategically positioning Grayce’s full suite of propositions. This is a senior, commercially focused role combining new business acquisition, account expansion and proposition‑led selling across public sector organisations. Operating at executive level, you will position Grayce as a strategic partner, influencing transformation agendas and moving client relationships beyond transactional talent engagement into long‑term, outcomes‑based partnerships.

About You

You are a senior sales leader with a strong track record of delivering growth within the public sector. You are commercially astute, confident operating at C‑suite level and experienced in navigating complex client environments. You bring a strategic mindset, balancing new logo acquisition with deep account expansion, and are comfortable selling evolving propositions that go beyond traditional services. You are credible, resilient and highly driven, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders and create opportunities through insight‑led engagement.

Business Development & Account Growth

  • Own the growth agenda for your sector, driving net new revenue through new client acquisition and expansion of existing accounts
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline with clear targets and disciplined commercial cadence
  • Position and sell Grayce’s full proposition suite across all client engagements
  • Develop sector growth plans, including target accounts, ICP strategies and campaign execution with marketing
  • Identify and engage new stakeholders within accounts through proactive organisation mapping and outreach
  • Create opportunities to host events and seminars to strengthen client engagement and showcase Grayce’s expertise

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders across client organisations
  • Engage at executive level to influence transformation strategies and identify new opportunities
  • Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery across accounts
  • Collaborate across Business Development and Marketing to support new client acquisition and sector growth initiatives

Proposition & Solution Selling

  • Position Grayce as a strategic transformation partner, moving beyond transactional talent delivery
  • Confidently articulate Grayce’s evolving proposition suite, including AI‑enabled services and change transformation
  • Identify opportunities to introduce outcomes‑based, scalable service offerings across client organisations
  • Work with product and delivery teams to co‑design tailored client solutions and commercial structures
  • Align solutions to transformation programmes and strategic change agendas within the public sector

Leadership & Matrix Management

  • Act as a senior leader across the business, working within a matrix structure across multiple teams
  • Provide leadership and direction across accounts, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
  • Manage direct reports where applicable (typically 1–3), or lead through influence where no direct reports exist

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant experience managing senior client relationships within the UK Public Sector
  • Proven track record of driving net new revenue through both new business and account expansion
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience navigating complex sales and negotiation processes
  • Experience selling into enterprise‑level accounts and multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Demonstrated ability to position and sell strategic, solutions‑based offerings
  • Strong understanding of public sector market dynamics and procurement environments
  • Experience in change and transformation delivery or managed services environments
  • Exposure to outcome‑based or service‑led propositions
  • Experience working across partner ecosystems or multi‑organisation delivery models
