Job Description:

The Business Development Manager will work closely with Senior Management of Gray Healthcare (GHC) and in line with the organisation\’s Business Development Strategy. The role involves actively seeking opportunities to develop established and new commissioning relationships, grow the business, innovate, and enhance how care and support are delivered.

We are seeking dynamic and experienced Business Development Managers with a deep understanding of the health and social care sector, especially within complex community-based support for adults with mental health, learning disabilities, and autism.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving targets, driving growth, demonstrating measurable outcomes, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employ a customer-centric approach to facilitate referrals and growth opportunities.
• Develop new business opportunities independently and with Senior Management.
• Work with the Assessment and Contract Manager to ensure internal processes are followed, especially in generating costings for submissions.
• Build and maintain relationships with ICBs, Trusts, NHS, Social Workers, Care Managers, and other stakeholders.
• Market development within the assigned area, monitoring competitor activity.
• Generate meetings through calls and marketing campaigns.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in social care supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
• At least three years in a similar role with successful post-tender wins.
• Understanding of NHS, LA, and NHS England commissioning procedures.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and employer responsibilities.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
