Gray Healthcare is recruiting a Male Support Worker to support a male in his 50s with a diagnosis of Frontal Lobe Damage, Learning Disabilities & Epilepsy in the Netherley area of Liverpool.

Role Details

Location: Liverpool L27

Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour (plus £100 per sleep shift)

Contract: 36‑hour contract (3×12 h day shifts, 1×12 h night shift)

Key Responsibilities

Provide 24‑hour 1:1 support for a male client living independently in his bungalow, assist with daily living, encourage participation in community activities such as football, cricket, golf, TV and creative pursuits, facilitate mobility vehicle use, implement care and risk plans, and maintain clear communication with the multidisciplinary team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence – Essential.
  • Social care experience supporting individuals with mental health diagnoses, acquired brain injuries, epilepsy, and learning disabilities.
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with perceived challenging behaviours.
  • Emotional resilience, good listening skills and clear communication.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • Current right to work in the UK and at least 6 months employed in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.

Induction and Training

Initial week of online training (company induction, systems, medication) followed by in‑person training on PROACT‑SCIP‑UK, a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, and ongoing person‑centred training with opportunities for career development.
