Gray Healthcare is recruiting a Female Support Worker within the Wrexham area of Wales to support a female client diagnosed with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). The client lives independently and receives 1‑2‑1 support 24 hours a day in a female‑only team on day and night shifts.
Required Skills and Experience
- Social care experience, ideally within Mental Health and with some experience of supporting individuals with EUPD and self‑injurious behaviours.
- Experience supporting individuals with behaviours perceived as challenging.
- Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
- Experience adapting communication skills, verbal and non‑verbal, to aid understanding of the supported individual.
- Motivated to promote engagement in meaningful activity.
- Desire to support the individual in their cultural and spiritual needs.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
Working Hours
0 hour contract – 12 hour shifts (8am‑8pm and 8pm‑8am). Days and waking nights.
Induction and Training
We provide an initial week of online training covering company induction, systems and medication. This is followed by in‑person training on PROACT‑SCIPr‑UK, a PBS approach to least restrictive practice. You will then complete person‑centred training specific to the individual you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare.
