About the Role


Gray Healthcare is recruiting a Female Support Worker to support an individual living independently in her own home in Preston. She receives 2:1 support, 24 hours a day, from a consistent female support team working day and night shifts. This role is centred on supporting independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive engagement. The individual enjoys making others laugh, spending time in the community, and going on countryside walks.


What You’ll Be Doing



  • Supporting safe and independent living

  • Promoting meaningful activity and routine

  • Following person-centred support plans and risk assessments

  • Using calm and least restrictive approaches

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing

  • Building a positive and trusting relationship


What We’re Looking For



  • Experience in health and social care

  • Experience supporting behaviours of distress

  • Ability to adapt communication

  • Resilient and consistent approach

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills

  • Commitment to person-centred care


Desirable



  • Full UK driving licence

Working Hours


24-hour contract



  • 2 x 12-hour shifts, 8pm to 8am (nights)
