Role Description


Gray Healthcare are recruiting a Mental Health Support Worker, within the Lincoln area of Lincolnshire to support a Male who has a diagnosis of treatment resistant schizophrenia.The Person we support lives independently in their own home receiving 1:1 support 24 hours a day from a consistent male support team working day and night shifts. The person is supported by a team of males on shifts of days and waking nights.This role is focused on supporting emotional wellbeing, independence, and engagement in daily activity. The individual enjoys accessing the community, listening to music, and DJing. A full UK driving licence is essential, as the individual has access to a mobility vehicle.


What You’ll Be Doing



  • Supporting independent living and daily routines

  • Encouraging meaningful engagement and activity

  • Following person-centred support plans

  • Using calm, consistent approaches

  • Supporting wellbeing and responding to distress

  • Building a professional and supportive relationship


What We’re Looking For



  • Experience in social care

  • Experience supporting behaviours of distress

  • Strong communication skills

  • Calm and consistent approach

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills

  • Commitment to person-centred care


Desirable:



  • Full UK driving licence (essential for this role)

Working Hours


36-hour contract



  • 3 x 12 hour day shifts
