Gray Healthcare is recruiting a Male Support Worker to support a gentleman in his 30s living independently in his own home in Wistaston, Crewe. He has diagnoses of Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Epilepsy and receives 2:1 support, 24 hours a day from a dedicated male support team.
This is a highly rewarding, person-centred role focused on promoting independence, wellbeing, and meaningful community participation. The individual has a great sense of humour and enjoys spending time in the community, including car journeys and bowling trips.
A full UK automatic driving licence is essential, as the individual has access to a mobility vehicle to access the community.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the individual to live safely and independently
- Promoting routine, structure, and meaningful activity
- Following person-centred support plans and risk assessments
- Using calm, consistent, and least restrictive approaches
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and responding to distress
- Building a trusting and professional relationship
- Working as part of a consistent team
What We're Looking For
- Experience working within Health and Social Care.
- Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and/or complex health needs.
- Experience supporting individuals whose behaviours may be considered challenging.
- Experience implementing support plans, care plans, and risk assessments.
- Full UK Automatic Driving Licence.
- Good communication, literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
- A calm, resilient, and person-centred approach.
- Current Right to Work in the UK.
- Minimum of 6 months employment history within the UK.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with Epilepsy.

Working Hours
- 24-hour contract
- 2x 12-hour day shifts per week (8:00am to 8:00pm)
- 1 sleep shift per week (8:00pm to 8:00am) paid at £100 per sleep
