A leading global provider of new generation IT solutions to the global Travel, Transportation and Logistics industries is looking for a Regional Sales Director to cover Europe and Africa. The role is home based with regular travel.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the range of sales types: new deals, upsell, cross sell and renewals across a defined region in Europe and Africa.
- Define and execute a holistic account management plan that includes expansion of the customer base for software products in the target accounts.
- Own the contract management between the company and the airline.
- Work closely with product teams to have adequate awareness of products and provide inputs to the customer that will enhance the product vision.
- Act as an ambassador of the airlines within the company, mobilising and motivating internal stakeholders in supporting the customer, whether it's a sales engagement or to manage issues.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Meet the targets for the geography in line with the overall plan.
Requirements:
- Sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proven ability to nurture prospects and accounts.
- An ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level.
- Experience with and knowledge of product implementation cycles for large, mission critical applications.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building competencies.
- Able to navigate the different levels of the organisation and understand underlying politics on the customer side.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from prospecting to contracting.
- Proven ability to position products based on value proposition.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with senior executives.
- Experience of working with globally distributed teams.
Experience:
- Experience in DevOps/SRE environments with close coordination with engineering and QA.
- 10+ years experience in sales and business development within software product firms serving the travel sector and/or airline experience across a variety of roles.
- Working language is English and another language is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ideal candidate would have strong network/relationships within the sector and market.
