We are recruiting for a highly experienced Business Travel Consultant to join our expanding global team. This role is on a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office and 2 days at home) and will initially be based on our client’s premises close to Monument Tube Station in London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Handling enquiries and reservations from clients, ensuring that they are responded to according to the client company’s travel policy.
- Processing E tickets and other required travel documentation in accordance with client profiles.
- Offering advice and options, where appropriate, for each itinerary, including the most cost-effective means of travel.
- Giving clients accurate information pertaining to their planned itinerary.
- Carrying out full research for each client to ensure that the best possible service is provided and that each client can make a well-informed decision.
- Offering ancillary services to clients such as car hire, hotels, private car transfers, parking etc.
- Confirming all booking information – fares; itineraries; e-ticket details; changes – within specified deadlines.
- Putting customers first and delivering the best possible service at all times.
- Adhering to all relevant policies, operating procedures and standards at all times.
- Attending staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Always working with due care and attention to ensure the personal safety of yourself and others.
- Carrying out any other role or task that is commensurate with the spirit and purpose of this job description.
- Building and updating travelers’ profiles so that their needs and requirements can be met as accurately as possible.
- Being familiar with Gray Dawes preferred suppliers and offering these when appropriate.
- Ensuring that the profile and booking systems are 100% accurate and up to date all the time.
- Monitoring and actioning personal and Team Queues.
- Ensuring that all tickets are issued within specified deadlines.
- Calculating and processing refunds within 24 hours of a cancellation.
- Arranging hotel billbacks.
- Rail refunds and enquiries.
- Giving training, advice and support to new members of staff.
