We are looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in Fraserburgh, supporting the procurement of materials, components and services to meet production and operational requirements. Reporting to the Group Purchasing Manager, the role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, placing and managing purchase orders, and ensuring materials are available in line with quality, cost and delivery expectations.
Responsibilities
- Source materials and suppliers in line with business needs
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value and delivery terms
- Raise, manage and track purchase orders
- Monitor stock levels to support production schedules
- Liaise with Production, Engineering, Finance and Stores teams
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support cost control initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
