About Us
Gravity Global is the world’s most awarded marketing consultancy specialising in brands operating in complex markets. Led by strategy, innovation, technology, data, and creativity, we create brand-and-demand marketing programmes that drive transformational growth for our clients. With 14 wholly owned offices across the US, Europe and APAC, and our Global Talent Hubs in emerging markets, you can build a truly global career in a rapidly scaling organisation that’s shaping the future of marketing.
We’re on the lookout for a Freelance Account Director for an initial 2-month engagement to onboard onto and manage a key piece of client growth: the EMEA and APAC performance marketing programs for a well-known global technology brand. The first few weeks are about getting up to speed quickly – absorbing the account, the team and the client relationships – before taking the lead on day-to-day delivery for the remainder of the engagement.
You’ll need a first-rate understanding of digital marketing strategy and be an expert client handler, able to work hand-in-hand with regional stakeholders across EMEA and APAC and guiding a team of digital and performance media experts to deliver against ambitious targets. You’ll be confident in directing teams to improve and enhance campaign performance on a global scale, as well as reporting on, sharing and contextualizing that performance to senior client stakeholders. The role is available on a remote or hybrid (London/Oxford/Norwich) basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the senior day-to-day point of contact for the client's EMEA and APAC marketing stakeholders, owning the relationship across regions and serving as the bridge to delivery teams (Paid Digital Media and Performance Marketing).
- Directing delivery teams to craft high-performance media strategies and deliver standout results against defined targets.
- Managing the operational delivery of media programs and campaigns, ensuring commitments and milestones are hit.
- Representing EMEA and APAC media on global status calls in US time zones, and working in partnership with the US Account Director to deliver a globally joined-up client experience.
- Taking financial ownership of the account, ensuring all workstreams and projects are delivered profitably and on budget.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Exceptional client management skills with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Strong knowledge of digital and performance media channels – in-platform operational capabilities are not essential, but a rich understanding of their role and how they work is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar senior account role in a fast-paced agency setting, ideally on global technology clients or multi-region (EMEA and/or APAC) media accounts.
- Strategic ability to plan for the near and mid-term as well as day-to-day challenges.
- Confidence in presenting to clients and handling difficult situations that may arise.
- Exceptional financial acumen.
- Excellent people management skills, able to lead and direct cross-functional teams.
- Reporting on campaign performance to senior client stakeholders, summarizing insights, ‘so what’, and next steps.
What we can offer:
- Clearly scoped 2-month engagement with potential to extend.
- Remote or hybrid working (London / Oxford / Norwich offices available).
- Immediate start – onboarding support from day one.
- The chance to lead performance marketing for one of the world’s best-known technology brands across EMEA and APAC.
