Our client is a sector leading retail brand with stores across the UK. As a result of their strong trading growth, they now seek to recruit a Regional Manager to look after a number of sites in the West and NW London area. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Area/Regional/Divisional Manager to make a move into a career role with a client that seeks to bring in the right person for a long-term objective and offers a stable career path.

The Role:

  • Reporting into Operations Director and the board, the principal objective of the Regional Manager is to continually grow the business and the profitability of each store within the region to achieve its full potential and the company’s vision for the region.
  • Responsible for achieving the sales, debt, cost and profit performance targets for each store within the region.
  • Responsible for the region’s P&L and present this to the ownership monthly.
  • Recruit, develop, coach and manage the Store Managers in the region to maximise both team and individual performance.
  • Advise and guide the Store Managers in coaching, developing, leading and motivating their teams to deliver the desired results.
  • Create and manage both cost-effective strategic and operational plans for the revenue growth and development of individual stores and the region.
  • Maximise efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis.
  • Complete regular store visits to focus on store standards and customer service to drive sales in line with company business goals.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyse key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the regional operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Formulate the annual budget for the region.
  • Work closely with HR to lead the team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
  • Ensure that the stores are adhering to relevant legal, health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare performance reports for the board.
  • Review the reports and trends and be able to assess performance, identifying areas of improvement and create action plans to improve store operations and performance.

The Person:

  • You must have at least 5 years full Area Manager or Regional Manager experience gained within the Retail or Hospitality sector.
  • You will have clear evidence and experience of budget setting, business plans, P&L accountability and communicating at board level.
  • A passionate leader who delivers exceptional development of their people with clear examples of this.
  • High level communicator who thrives on autonomy and can deliver impact from day one in all areas of the business.
  • You will be able to display evidence of managing the full day-to-day operations of multiple sites as well as being able to operate at a strategic level, shaping and developing your region's business and into the wider business.
