Our client is an established charity in the Swindon area. They are passionate and highly commercial charity retailer with a real entrepreneurial flair to what they do and the proposition they offer. They are now seeking a commercial, customer and people focused Retail Leader to join the business as an Area Manager for an initial interim period for 3 months. The role could be extended and has the potential to go permanent.
The Role:
- You will be responsible for supporting an area of Charity Stores and helping them to achieve their commercial targets.
- Ensuring Stores are profitable and striving to deliver the best return on each individual site.
- Support Stores with a hands-on approach, not scared to roll your sleeves up and support stores with refits, troubleshooting and new store openings.
- Making sure all Stores are compliant and following all industry regulations/guidelines.
- Helping your area store teams with innovative new ways to grow the business and develop their propositions.
The Person:
- You will be an existing Area Manager or Multi Site Manager from within the Retail Charity Industry.
- Candidates will need to have come from a fast paced, commercial, product lead environment with ideally charity retail experience.
- You will be highly commercial and highly entrepreneurial, able to operate in a framework that requires creative flair and innovative ways to grow the business.
- A hands-on Leader, not scared to get involved in supporting stores with their day-to-day operations where required.
- Experienced in conducting effective stores visits.
- Highly people focused, with an ability to inspire people at all levels in a highly complex mix of colleagues.
