ABOUT THE ROLE

A BRIEF SUMMARY

As the Senior Sales Manager for Gravity Media in the UK, this role plays a central leadership position in informing the UK sales strategy, strengthening client relationships, and driving market growth across both existing and prospective clients. This is a senior role within the UK Sales team for a company that provides cutting-edge media services for some of the biggest live events and entertainment programmes around the world. The role is responsible for leading key sales activity, delivering continued growth, and ensuring exceptional value is provided to clients through outstanding technical solutions.

Working location: High Wycombe

Weekly hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Reporting to: Sales Director

Role type: Full-time, permanent

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the wider UK sales team to achieve their individual and collective goals, stepping in for the Sales Director when required. Play a visible leadership role across the UK organisation, set the tone through example, and contribute to the evolution of the UK business.
  • Driving Sales Growth: Own the delivery of strategic sales plans that achieve company targets and expand our client base. Shape targets and commercial priorities that are relevant to the UK organisation and aligned to the overall business strategy. Lead and manage RFP processes, ensuring client requests are met, responses are complete, and pricing is compliant with global governance while remaining appropriate for client expectations. Maintain clear oversight of quotations and bids involving the UK business, identifying risks and positive performance indicators that improve our chances of success both locally and across the global landscape.
  • Client Relationship Management: Own and develop relationships with key clients ensuring their needs are consistently met and exceeded. Represent the business externally at relevant industry events and act as a senior ambassador for the organisation when required on site or at events.
  • Market Analysis: Lead market and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth. Translate insight into action by bringing forward commercially relevant recommendations that help maintain and strengthen market position.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as the technology team, media & content, marketing, and project management, to drive a cohesive approach to client solutions and deliver the wider UK sales strategy.
  • Financial Oversight: Own the interpretation of relevant data to assess financial performance against budgeted work, using sound commercial judgement to evaluate opportunities and determine whether to respond to RFPs.

IN THIS MANAGEMENT ROLE WE’LL BE EXPECTING YOU TO

  • Maintain a safe working environment for your teams by complying with all required Health & Safety procedures, and other management processes e.g. ISO standards;
  • Be the first point of contact for your team for any queries, escalations, and feedback;
  • Hold regular meetings with each member of your team to align on topics, direction, information sharing, create an opportunity for the team to be heard and sense of community;
  • Regularly review workload across the team to ensure efficiency and balance;
  • Provide feedback to your team to allow continued growth;
  • Ensure new members to your team have a thorough onboarding process including regular review during probation (excludes onboarding provided by HR);
  • Actively support the development of your team through action plans;
  • Actively manage poor performance;
  • Communicate and reinforce key business messages to your team, for example following Manager Meetings, Team talks, email communications;
  • Understand key Company policies/processes and help your team to understand;
  • Be responsive to requests for information to colleagues and other departments;
  • Ensure your team complete all mandatory training;
  • Carry out an annual performance review with each member of your team;
  • Take any necessary steps to ensure that individuals are not subjected to harassment, sexual harassment, or bullying;
  • Manage day to day spend in line with company objectives, direction and in the interests of the company.
