ABOUT THE ROLE
A BRIEF SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Rigger Planner to take a lead role in the coordination and execution of vehicle logistics, cable rigging, and on-site infrastructure support for our Outside Broadcast (OB), Flypack, and Remote Production operations. This operational role sits at the heart of our technical delivery team, where you’ll oversee the planning and deployment of rigger/drivers and vehicles, across a wide range of projects—both domestic and international. Working closely with scheduling, engineering, unit management, and project planning departments, you’ll ensure seamless and compliant transport, rigging, and de-rigging of our broadcast facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards in safety, scheduling, compliance, and crew welfare, ensuring every production is delivered on time, on budget, and without compromise.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Operational
- Leading and managing rigging teams and vehicle drivers across multiple live projects.
- Creating efficient vehicle and driver schedules, ensuring timely arrival and departure from venues.
- Liaising with unit managers with said information.
- Maintaining driver rotas that meet project needs while complying with working time directives and safety regulations.
- Acting as the main point of contact for some rigging personnel issues, providing clear direction and swift troubleshooting.
- Collaborating with crewing, project planning, and scheduling teams to align operational delivery with project requirements.
- Logistics & Planning
- Managing both domestic and international freight logistics, including customs documentation.
- Working closely with cable management/base teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking and cable readiness.
- Supporting crew welfare with accommodation when required.

- Proven experience managing crew and transport logistics in the broadcast, live events, or technical production sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle compliance regulations, driver working time directives, and logistics best practices.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal departments and external partners.
