ABOUT THE ROLE
A BRIEF SUMMARY
The Server Guarantee Engineer is responsible for the technical leadership, deployment, operation, maintenance and support of replay and server infrastructure across Gravity Media’s Outside Broadcast and Flypack operations. Working within fast‑paced live production environments, the role supports major sports, entertainment and special event broadcasts, ensuring resilient replay workflows and seamless integration with wider production and engineering systems. The Server Guarantee Engineer works closely with production teams, technical managers, guarantee engineers, operators and clients to deliver the high standards of operational excellence expected across Gravity Media productions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Configure, install, and maintain EVS XT servers and associated EVS workflows.
- Support live replay operations during outside broadcasts and studio productions.
- Ensure all EVS infrastructure is fully operational before, during, and after broadcasts.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults quickly under live transmission conditions.
- Liaise with production teams and operators to ensure workflows meet editorial and operational requirements.
- Integrate EVS systems with routers, storage networks and audio/video infrastructure.
- Support and archive to local and network storage.
- Assist with system upgrades, software updates, and testing of new workflows.
- Work collaboratively with wider engineering and operational teams to ensure smooth delivery of productions.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU
- Have a passion for the industry and a drive to make impactful contributions in a dynamic, fast‑paced sector.
- Excellent appreciation of the media industry as a whole and in particular Outside Broadcast and Event coverage.
- Experience in major sports and live entertainment broadcasting environments.
- Knowledge of broadcast networking and IP infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding abilities under pressure.
- Able to design, implement and maintain small to medium network systems.
- Knowledge of SDI, networking, and broadcast signal flow.
- Familiarity with Avid & Adobe, or other production systems.
- Relevant broadcast engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
