ABOUT THE ROLE
A BRIEF SUMMARY
The Engineering Assistant – Workshop supports the Gravity Media Workshop team with testing, checking, and preparing a wide range of broadcast camera, video and server equipment under the guidance of senior workshop staff.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Assisting with general checking and testing of all types of broadcast equipment under supervision.
- Carrying out equipment cleaning to ensure professional presentation and readiness for use.
- Performing minor repairs such as tightening screws, reseating connectors, or other simple mechanical fixes.
- Supporting senior workshop staff in the preparation and organisation of equipment across rental, projects, and broadcast operations.
- Learning and performing fault‑finding tasks on broadcast equipment, with guidance from experienced workshop engineers.
- Ensuring workspaces remain clean, organised, and safe at all times.
