This role, based at our Remote Production Centre at Westworks, is responsible for the technical standards of the output. It works in partnership with clients to interpret production requirements, support plans for execution, and communicate these needs to wider teams. Due to the nature of this role, working patterns are unpredictable and often during unsociable hours.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Accountable and responsible for the technical standards of output.
- Supervisor in charge on shift of crew and staff within the production, being the central point of contact for clients.
- Oversee the rig and operation of technical equipment across the production ensuring all crew have what they need in MCR, vision, replay and edit, ready for production in a timely manner.
- Ensure minimum standards are met within gallery spaces from kit preparation to cleanliness and presentation.
- Bridge the gap between on-site and remote teams to ensure a joined-up client experience.
- Deliver technical schematic explainers and associated documentation as required.
- Work in partnership with the Resource and Production Management team to ensure efficient utilisation of all technical and human resources.
- Efficient management of equipment failure to ensure minimal disruption to transmissions.
- Provide daily Tech Logs for each production and track any ongoing issues to resolution.
- Actively monitor the operational crew’s performance, ensuring the assigned crew is maintaining the highest standard of delivery and production goals are achieved.
- Providing feedback on kit, crew and workflows to ensure the most seamless possible productions.
- Responsible for health & safety including the implementation of risk assessments, first aid & fire safety.
- Other duties as required.
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF
- Excellent knowledge of Outside Broadcasting and facilities in all its forms.
- A technical understanding of all disciplines.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly.
- The ability to manage Client demands whilst delivering operational deadlines.
- Strong analytical, technical, financial and logistical competencies.
- Proficiency in planning and drawing software.
- Ability to work within a corporate, team-based environment.
- Understanding time management when working on site and during the project planning process.
- A calm and composed attitude with the ability to make calculated decisions in a timely fashion and under pressure.
