We are currently seeking a Staff ML Engineer for an exciting startup in the observability space who recently emerged from Stealth mode. This business, founded by an entrepreneur who successfully sold their previous APM for $500 million, is focusing on Opentelemetry and has a substantial runway for 3-5 years. They are looking for their first ML expert to join the team.
As a Staff ML Engineer, you will be an integral part of an empowered product team dedicated to creating the best observability tool for end-users. This is a greenfield role where you will be responsible for shipping machine-learning powered technology to production and working across a multitude of projects. You will also have full autonomy in choosing the ML stack and exploring different ways of applying ML to software. Furthermore, you will be expected to stay abreast of advancements in AI/ML, particularly LLMs, and apply these to solve observability challenges. This position offers a clear growth path, with the potential to progress to a Head of ML and possibly an Executive position as the company scales in the coming years.
Requirements:
- 4+ Years' experience in Machine Learning - preferably in a Tech startup
- Strong ML Engineering background
- End-to-end experience - building a prototype and shipping to production
- Experience operating Software in production
- Ability to translate Research into Production
- Expert-level Python experience
- Knowledge of LLMs
