We are Gravity, the UK's biggest name in active entertainment. Fun is our key word, where our sites across the UK offer up to 30 activities from e-karting to trampoline parks, high wall climbing to augmented reality bowling. We are now looking for a Management Accountant to join our team at our head office in Xscape Castleford on a 6 month fixed term contract.
You are a commercially minded finance professional who brings a strong blend of analytical capability, technical accounting knowledge, and business partnering skills. As a key support to the Chief Finance Officer, you will play a central role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting that helps drive operational and strategic decision-making.
Core Skills Required to Succeed
- Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including prepayments, accruals, journals, month-end close, and balance sheet integrity.
- Proven ability to handle high-volume transactional environments and ensure accuracy in financial data.
- Skilled in analysing large data sets, identifying trends, variances, and anomalies, and translating findings into clear insights.
- Ability to prepare, review, and sign off management accounts with full ownership and attention to detail.
- Commercial & Business Partnering Skills
- Demonstrated experience acting as a finance business partner, building strong relationships across operations and support functions.
- Ability to get under the skin of the business, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, efficiencies, and cost improvements.
- Strong commercial awareness, enabling interpretation of financial performance and providing recommendations that influence decisions.
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box to add value during periods of business growth and change.
- Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent communicator who can simplify financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally, challenging and supporting teams to drive better performance and accountability.

Qualifications & Training
- At least 4 years commercial experience, with the last 2 working as a Management Accountant.
- Formal accounting qualifications are necessary for this position.
- Previous experience taking full accountability for sign-off of management accounts.
Product Knowledge
- Proficient with core Microsoft software.
- A good working knowledge of Access Financials.
