The Role

AI is reshaping how organizations build, ship, and scale digital products and APIs are the connective tissue that makes it possible. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Solutions Architect to join our growing business. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role focused on onboarding enterprise customers onto the Gravitee platform and helping them successfully deploy API management solutions into production environments.

You’ll work directly with enterprise customers to understand their existing architecture, map out integration strategies, and design how Gravitee fits into their cloud or on‑prem environments. You’ll then take a hands‑on role implementing and deploying the platform, helping customers successfully launch into production while acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the onboarding and implementation lifecycle.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Lead enterprise customer onboarding and implementation projects for the Gravitee platform
  • Run architecture discovery sessions to understand customer environments, integrations, infrastructure, and technical requirements
  • Design and implement API management solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments
  • Deploy and configure Gravitee using Docker and Kubernetes within customer environments
  • Work closely with customer engineering and platform teams to guide production rollouts and technical adoption
  • Troubleshoot complex technical and integration issues during onboarding and deployment phases
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact during implementation and go‑live activities
  • Document customer architectures, implementation decisions, and technical best practices
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to advocate for customer needs and resolve technical blockers
  • Support demos, workshops, enablement sessions, and customer education initiatives
  • Maintain ongoing customer relationships post go‑live to ensure customers continue getting value from the platform

Your impact will be visible, measurable, and global.

Strong technical background within SaaS, cloud, platform, infrastructure, or software environments

Experience working with APIs, integrations, platform technologies, or modern cloud‑native architectures

Hands‑on experience implementing or deploying technical platforms into customer or production environments

Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes deployments

Ability to understand customer architectures and design implementation approaches across cloud or on‑prem environments

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills across integrations, infrastructure, and platform deployments

Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts in a practical and understandable way

Comfortable working directly with customers, engineering teams, or internal stakeholders during implementations

Ability to travel when required

Desired Skills

  • Experience with API Management platforms and exposure to authentication and security concepts such as OAuth2, JWT, SSO, LDAP, or API security
  • Experience with scripting or development languages such as Java or Python
  • Experience working in Solutions Engineering, Platform Engineering, Professional Services, Technical Consulting, DevOps, Support Engineering, or implementation‑focused TAM environments
  • Experience working in startup or scale‑up environments
  • Additional European language skills are a plus

How to prepare for a job interview at Gravitee

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Gravitee uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
