Gravitee is a global API management platform with a strong open source foundation. We are recruiting for a QA Engineer (manual testing) to join our team in Greater London, United Kingdom. This role focuses on improving the efficiency of our software development process and the quality of our products by research, development, maintenance, and coaching on test practices.
The Role
- QA Engineer, manual testing. You will research, develop, maintain, coach and provide best practice to create a test framework to continuously improve the quality of our software products.
What You Will Be Doing
- Working in an Agile methodology (SCRUM) with Developers, POs, Scrum Masters and Architects
- Creating manual tests for web UI applications built with Angular and AngularJS
- Develop, own and maintain automation framework
- Build and configure automated tests in CI pipelines
- Maintain automated test packs for sanity, pre-deployment and post-deployment across the product platform
- Create and maintain API tests across multiple layers of the testing pyramid
- Analyze and document product defects
- Maintain, enhance and develop test automation strategy
- Collaborate with developers to design a full suite of testing procedures
- Raise testing standards and coach software engineers on writing better tests
- Work with other QA engineers to build testing framework and best practices
- Investigate production issues to identify missing or new tests
- Keep up to date with quality tools, practices and trends and introduce them to the team
- Participate in discovery of technical solutions with focus on testing (three amigos approach)

Essential Skills
- 5+ years of manual testing experience
- Familiarity with basic automation concepts
- Hands-on automation testing with tools such as Postman, Selenium
- Hands-on API testing experience
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating tests in Java and/or TypeScript
- Knowledge of Kafka
- Ability to define and use different test strategies (unit, component, integration, system tests)
Desirable Skills
- Experience in complex and dynamic environments
- Experience with API ecosystem or fintech domains
- Maintaining and improving codebase quality
- Testing in a cloud environment
- Experience with tools like SonarQube
- Non-functional/performance testing experience
