A well known luxury lifestyle group is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.
The business operates a portfolio of premium hospitality, wellness and retail brands and is currently undergoing significant change across its finance function. As a result, this role will play a key part in supporting year end audit activity, strengthening financial controls and improving reporting processes across the Group.
The Role
- Acting as a key contact for external auditors and coordinating audit requirements
- Preparing and reviewing audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Reviewing and improving balance sheet reconciliations across the Group
- Investigating and resolving historic balance sheet items
- Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and compliance requirements
- Supporting wider finance transformation and process improvement initiatives
- Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders across the business
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Currently working within audit, accounts or financial reporting and looking to move into industry, or already operating within a Financial Accountant position
- Strong technically with a good understanding of statutory reporting and financial controls
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external auditors
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel and confident working with financial systems
