Role Overview
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based ETL/ELT pipelines, with a focus on MS Fabric components. The role requires working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and develop solutions that enhance business processes. This position is integral to supporting the organisation’s digital transformation, ensuring data quality, compliance, and effective migration from legacy systems.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Power BI
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric components
- Proven experience in migrating from on‑prem (SSIS) to cloud‑based ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience implementing error handling and GDPR compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimise data pipelines connecting various systems within the organisation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions accordingly
- Support the migration of legacy data systems to modern cloud‑based platforms
- Ensure data quality and compliance across all data processes

Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience working in Lancashire or able to work on‑site as required
