We are currently supporting a Local Authority who are undergoing significant work across GIS and require a more Technical GIS Officer.

Responsibilities

  • iShare Decommissioning (Primary Deliverable)
  • GIS System Upgrade & Stabilisation
  • LLPG Vesting-Day Readiness
  • Back-Office GIS Support & Risk Reduction
  • Esri Utilisation & System Optimisation
  • Training, Upskilling & Knowledge Transfer

Essential Skills

  • Strong back office GIS system management experience.
  • Coding/scripting - Python.
  • Understanding and experience with Land Clan suite.
  • Familiarity with Esri, including ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience in planning or local government environments.
  • Ability to train, upskill, and support non-technical users.
  • Ability to deliver system improvements independently.

Preferred Skills

  • Creative, solutions driven mindset.
  • Ability to identify under utilised tools and improve system usage.
  • Ability to streamline workflows and optimise digital processes.

Role Details

  • Length of contract - 6-12 months
  • Day Rate - Circa £300 DOE
  • Hybrid - On site twice a month in Surrey
  • IR35 - Pending Confirmation, likely Outside
