We are seeking a seasoned WordPress Developer who has previous experience in the Fitness and Wellbeing industry. The role brings an exciting opportunity to re-platform and rebuild our clients existing website—migrating from Umbraco to WordPress.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in custom WordPress development, including the development and maintenance of custom plugins. A solid understanding of SEO best practices is essential, as optimising our digital presence is one of the key goals of this project. A strong grasp of APIs is also required, as is the ability to integrate third-party systems and services efficiently within the WordPress framework.
Essential Skills:
- SEO Knowledge
- Custom WordPress Development experience including plugin use/optimization
- Event Tracking: GA4, GTM (Tag setup, triggers, variables, custom events)
- Languages: PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5, CSS3
- Strong knowledge of APIs and third-party integration
Desirable:
- Strong front-end experience
- Exposure and understanding of DevOps principles
- Experience using Jira
- Experience working with Google Tag Manager
- Fitness and Wellbeing sector experience
Location: Remote (opportunity to travel onsite if preference was to work from an office)
Start Date: ASAP (3 weeks max)

Day rate: £400-425 DOE
