The Role
You’ll work closely with our Staff Engineer to execute on a broad and exciting DevOps roadmap. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll see the results of your efforts directly improve how the engineering team operates day to day. There’s potential to form a small platform team alongside the Staff Engineer, with real ownership over infrastructure and developer tooling.

- GitHub Actions cost reduction: identifying and eliminating wasteful pipeline runs
- Infrastructure management: working within a fully Terraform‑based AWS serverless environment
- Cost optimisation: reducing AWS infrastructure spend across Lambda, ALBs, and SQS
- Security services: building and improving infrastructure services to meet security requirements
- Monitoring & observability: building out Grafana dashboards, refining Sentry alerting, and improving visibility across infrastructure
- Vercel account consolidation: migrating from two Vercel accounts into one
- Preview environments: maintaining and improving per‑PR Lambda environments with automatic teardown
- Developer experience: making it faster and easier for engineers to ship code
- AI integration: exploring how AI can enhance monitoring, scaling, and observability, with the potential to help build a self‑hosted AI solution for internal use with customer data
What We’re Looking For
- Background as a developer who has moved into DevOps
- TypeScript
- Solid AWS experience, particularly with serverless architectures (Lambda, ALBs, SQS)
- Strong Terraform experience
- Hands‑on experience with GitHub Actions
- Experience with Grafana and Sentry is a plus
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely within a small, remote engineering team
- Based in the UK
Why Join Us?
- Fully remote - work from anywhere in the UK
- Real ownership and impact - see the results of your work immediately
- Collaborate directly with a highly skilled Staff Engineer and CTO
- Flexibility to grow - whether deeper into DevOps or towards software engineering
- Plenty of scope to try new things, including exploring AI tooling across the business
Salary & Benefits
- £50,000–£75,000 depending on experience
- 10% employer pension contribution (no employee contribution required)
