Student Loan Finance Assistant

Milton Keynes (5 days on site)

Salary: up to £36,500

Full-time- FTC for 18 months

Gravitas is working with a UK university, recruiting for a Student Loan Finance Assistant on an 18-month fixed-term contract, based full-time on-site in Milton Keynes.

The position offers a salary of up to £36,500 and sits within a finance team focused on student loan administration and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on operational support for student loan processes, including UK and overseas loans.
Deliver excellent customer service, with a strong emphasis on pastoral care.
Investigate and resolve queries from students and sponsors.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely loan processing.

Candidate Requirements

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience in a financial role (e.g., accounts payable, loans, payments).
High level of empathy and interpersonal skills.
Must live within a 45-minute commute and be available on-site 5 days/week.
Salary: Up to £36,500.
Annual Leave: 30 days plus public holidays and university closure days.
