Gravitas is partnered with a leading organisation seeking an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of their core HPE enterprise environment. This is a fully hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across complex infrastructure, supporting mission-critical systems, and improving the reliability and performance of enterprise platforms.
You’ll manage the full lifecycle of HPE Synergy, BladeSystem, storage and backup solutions, while supporting Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, enterprise networking and virtualisation technologies. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact across a large, modern infrastructure landscape.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and supporting HPE Synergy, HPE BladeSystem and HPE Rack Servers.
- Administering enterprise storage platforms including HPE Primera and HPE StoreOnce.
- Owning Veeam Backup & Replication for backup operations and disaster recovery readiness.
- Supporting Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments.
- Performing patching, firmware upgrades, capacity planning and lifecycle management across all infrastructure.
- Ensuring infrastructure availability, stability and performance across compute, storage and networking layers.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation, operational runbooks and infrastructure standards.
- Supporting enterprise networking fundamentals including subnetting, firewalls and WAN connectivity.
- Working with virtualisation technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with HPE Synergy, BladeSystem, Primera and StoreOnce.
- Solid grounding in enterprise networking architecture including subnetting, firewalls and WAN.
- Experience managing Veeam Backup & Replication in production environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Exchange Online support.
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, able to respond to complex infrastructure issues.
- Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, detail-focused approach to infrastructure management.
- Azure cloud experience (VMs, networking, storage).
- Knowledge of Entra ID / Azure AD identity and access.
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (e.g., FortiGate).
- Experience working in manufacturing environments.
- Supporting in-house applications or development-aligned systems.
