SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST – DEVELOPMENT
REMOTE WORKING

Gravitas Group are partnered exclusively with a leading UK Housing Association. My client have over 50,000 homes and offices across the UK. They’re looking to hire a Senior Finance Analyst to work in the Finance Development team and report into the Head of Finance Development.
As the Senior Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for providing expert financial analysis, advice and insight to senior stakeholders in both the finance and development departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess the financial viability of complex development opportunities, critically assessing the information.
- Prepare and stress test comprehensive financial models at a project and programme level
- Undertake post investment appraisal analysis and use it to report on lessons learned.
- Monitor KPIs and other data to identify underperforming projects.
- Model the financial impact of exit strategies and other alternatives.
- Work with the programme team data analysts on trend and benchmarking information.
- Actively participate in Development Management Team meetings, providing expert opinions and advice to help guide discussions.
- Actively participate in Finance Management Team meetings
- Liaise with development colleagues in the preparation of business cases.
- Good working relationship with colleagues in Development Finance,
- FP&A and Treasury to ensure a rounded picture for financial appraisals.
- Reviewing underlying investment assumptions annually, in consultation with stakeholders, for presentation to IDC and Board
- Provide assurance on the accuracy of financial reporting on the development programme
- Identify sales and market risks and provide guidance on possible mitigations.
- Report on, and provide assurance around, counterparty risk.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Qualified Accountant with a recognsied accounting qualification CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Minimum five years’ experience working in Finance Development, preferably in housing or real estate.
- Proven track record of successfully evaluating complex development opportunities.
- Experience modelling and managing joint venture appraisals and finances is highly desirable.
- Advanced excel and power BI skills
- An expert in financial modelling and investment analysis
