We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Android Engineer, with knowledge of iOS development to lead maintenance and development of our client's Android Mobile App within Online Audio and Video Media. This is a remote-first opportunity; however, if you are based in London, they would like you to be able to meet once a week with some of the rest of the team. The successful candidate will work at the forefront of White Label Social Networking, delivering Android apps for well-established clients, whilst providing support for the iOS app. You will collaborate with product and design, whilst reporting directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:- Full ownership and maintenance of the existing Android app
- You will build new features, fix critical bugs and roll out white-label releases whilst utilising Kotlin
- Provide support to the Lead iOS Engineer with debugging and UI improvements
- Utilise AI approaches to improve the app
- Implement MVVM architecture to separate data, UI and logic
- Improve product quality across Android and iOS
- Work pragmatically, shipping regularly and quickly
- A well-rounded mobile engineer with a strong Android bias, and a genuine focus on craftsmanship, UX, and product quality
- AI-first in approach, excited about integrating generative AI throughout the product lifecycle
- Confident working across iOS as well as Android
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Happy owning problems from idea to execution, with minimal handholding
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a remote-first model, with a competitive annual salary up to £90,000 and opportunities for career progression and further development.
