A large public‑sector organisation in the South East is investing significantly in its data and integration landscape and is seeking an experienced leader to bring clarity, direction, and long‑term structure to this critical capability. This role has a clear mandate to modernise enterprise integration and data platforms, with senior sponsorship and funding already in place. Reporting to a senior digital leader, you’ll take ownership of strategy, architecture, and standards, while leading a capable technical team and working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Reporting into a senior digital leader, you’ll take ownership of:
- The enterprise integration landscape
- The strategic direction of the data and analytics platform
- A technically capable team of engineers, with scope to grow capacity further
You’ll be responsible for:
- Setting and owning the strategy and architecture for integration and data platforms
- Modernising integration approaches and moving away from legacy tooling
- Defining repeatable integration patterns, reference data approaches, and standards
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a multi‑disciplinary team (~6 FTE)
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across finance, HR, services functions, PMO, security, platforms, and delivery teams
- Improving testing, resilience, and scalability across integration and data workloads
This role offers strong exposure at senior level and a clear mandate to resolve one of the organisation’s top technology priorities.
About you:
- Experience leading or managing technical integration and/or data teams
- An architectural mindset across integration and data platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Microsoft‑centric integration tooling (e.g. ADF, SSIS, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management)
- Reference data design, reusable integration patterns, or automated testing in integration environments
- Large, complex, or public‑sector style organisations
