This is a genuinely commercial Risk position, offering broad exposure across underwriting, operations and senior leadership. You’ll work closely with the Head of Risk to strengthen risk maturity across the business, providing forward-looking oversight while helping shape and enhance the Risk Management Framework in line with Lloyd’s and wider regulatory expectations.

Reporting into the Head of Risk, you will be instrumental in embedding risk awareness across the organisation and supporting strategic decision-making. The role offers hands-on involvement in core Risk processes including ORSA, internal model governance, scenario testing and regulatory engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the Risk Management Framework, promoting risk ownership across the business.
- Produce high-quality Risk reporting for senior management, committees and external stakeholders.
- Own and maintain Risk & Control Registers, ensuring alignment to the evolving business risk profile, including emerging risks.
- Lead and coordinate the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process across business functions.
- Manage risk event and incident reporting, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective capture, assessment and follow-up.
- Support development and maintenance of Risk policies, Risk Appetite and Key Risk Indicators.
- Drive emerging risk identification, including leading deep-dive assessments.
- Embed operational risk scenario analysis and stress testing to support internal model outputs.
- Play a key role in ORSA delivery, including risk input into business planning and preparation of the Risk Opinion.
- Support internal model governance, validation and assurance in line with Lloyd’s standards and regulatory expectations.
- Undertake elements of technical and non-technical model validation, including tracking and closing actions.
- Support regulatory engagement and compliance with Lloyd’s, PRA and FCA requirements, including contribution to Lloyd’s Principles Assessments.
You’ll already be operating in a Risk role within the Lloyd’s / London Market and looking for broader scope, stronger stakeholder exposure and clear progression. You’ll bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ Risk Management experience within a Lloyd’s or London Market environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lloyd’s, PRA and Solvency UK / Solvency II frameworks.
- Experience partnering with underwriting teams, senior management and operational functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge constructively.
- A proactive, organised and analytical approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong systems capability, including Microsoft Office and comfort working across multiple data sources.
Join a high-performing Lloyd’s platform with a strong market reputation. Broad, influential Risk remit with real visibility across the business. Exposure to senior leadership and strategic initiatives. Genuine development opportunity within an expanding Risk function. Competitive salary, bonus, benefits and hybrid working.
