Senior Applied AI Engineer to join their engineering team and work across a range of cutting-edge AI, machine learning and generative AI projects.

This is an opportunity to work directly with customers, shape technical solutions, and build scalable systems that deliver measurable business impact.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role sitting at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning, cloud infrastructure and client delivery.

You\'ll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from discovery and prototyping through to deployment and optimisation of production-grade AI systems.

Working alongside talented engineers and data specialists, you\'ll help customers solve complex challenges using modern AI technologies, while mentoring more junior team members and contributing to technical best practice.

  • What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Working closely with clients to understand requirements and translate business challenges into technical solutions
  • Leading the delivery of key features and technical workstreams
  • Designing, building and deploying production-grade AI and machine learning systems
  • Developing applications powered by LLMs, RAG architectures, agents and modern AI tooling
  • Building scalable cloud-native platforms and MLOps capabilities
  • Implementing high-quality engineering practices including testing, observability, CI/CD and documentation
  • Contributing to architecture decisions and technical direction
  • Participating in sprint planning, retrospectives and code reviews
  • Coaching and mentoring engineers within the team
  • Supporting customer enablement and knowledge transfer activities
  • Contributing to internal R&D initiatives and helping evaluate emerging technologies
  • What We\'re Looking For
  • Strong commercial software engineering experience with Python
  • Experience building and deploying production-grade applications and services
  • Exposure to machine learning, MLOps and/or generative AI technologies
  • Experience with technologies such as LLMs, RAG pipelines, model serving, AI agents, embeddings or ML workflows
  • Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of Dev Ops practices, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong experience with Git, Linux and Docker
  • Experience working within Agile environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A passion for AI, open-source technologies and continuous learning

  • Experience mentoring or leading engineers
  • Knowledge of MLOps tooling and practices
  • Experience within consulting or customer-facing environments
  • Familiarity with Tensor Flow, Py Torch, Scikit-Learn or similar frameworks
