This is an opportunity to join a high-traffic consumer product used by millions of people every month, where mobile is a core part of the experience rather than an afterthought. You’ll be joining an established engineering function with 25+ engineers in the UK (50+ globally), working on iOS and Android apps that see millions of active users and real-world impact every single day. The mission is simple but ambitious: build a mobile app that users genuinely trust, return to daily, and rely on to make better purchasing decisions. You’ll play a key role in shaping how that experience looks, feels and evolves.
This role suits someone who cares deeply about product quality, enjoys ownership, and wants to work on a mature app where engineering standards matter.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the development of production iOS and Android apps built with React Native
- Working closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to turn ideas into polished, user-loved features
- Building high-quality, delightful mobile experiences, including animations and micro-interactions
- Taking responsibility for code quality, testing and release readiness
- Improving and maintaining a robust CI/CD pipeline and strong engineering standards
- Helping the wider team move faster by unblocking problems and raising the technical bar
- Keeping up with modern mobile tooling and best practices, and applying them pragmatically
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
What they’re looking for:
- 5+ years of commercial React Native experience
- Strong understanding of the React Native ecosystem, performance, builds and native integrations
- Proven ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect, smooth user experiences
- Experience with modern tooling such as Expo, CI/CD pipelines, monorepos and cloud infrastructure
- Solid understanding of how frontend, backend and networks interact
- Comfortable taking technical ownership and influencing standards
- Clear communicator with a delivery-focused mindset
- Experience using modern developer tools (including AI/LLM tooling) is a bonus, not a requirement
Working environment:
- Hybrid working with flexibility — no expectation to be in the office every day
- Modern, well-located London office with great food, coffee and social spots nearby
- Collaborative, inclusive culture that values balance as much as delivery
- Real autonomy and trust — you’ll be treated like a senior, not micromanaged
- Generous pension with employer contributions up to 8%
- Private medical insurance
- Subsidised gym membership
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Free lunch when you’re in the office
- Dedicated weekly time for personal development
- Enhanced parental leave and strong support for returning parents
