One of our Transport Clients is looking for 2 x Project Managers to support several of their IT & Operational workstreams, as part of a large scale transformation piece. The ideal candidate will have experience of leading a variety of projects within the Transport Sector, and who is confident managing complex stakeholder portfolios which include Senior Stakeholders, Public Sector officials, Third-Party suppliers and more.
Start Date: Mid January
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including internal personnel and external advisors, ensuring optimal resource allocation across projects.
- Apply established project management frameworks and tools to drive timely and effective delivery, ensuring financial control and alignment with defined outputs.
- Lead development of Business Cases and ensure compliance with governance and assurance frameworks.
- Monitor and report on key project metrics including costs, risks, schedules and stakeholder engagement status at all project stages.
- Proactively identify and manage risks and change, escalating as necessary to maintain budget and timelines.
- Interpret complex data to guide decisions and resource planning across multiple interdependent projects.
- Engage stakeholders including the public, transport operators, private partners, and government bodies to ensure inclusivity and clear communications.
- Proven track record in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder transport projects.
- Experience across all project lifecycle stages, stakeholder and budget management.
- Commercial awareness, effective negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Effective use of own initiative, adaptable under pressure, and strong organisational capability.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution.
- Experience with transport infrastructure design and delivery.
- Knowledge of policy interpretation and working with business case frameworks.
