An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the most successful and respected Marine & Energy Reinsurance teams in the London Market. Working within a specialist division, you will become part of a highly collaborative and technically focused team supporting complex international reinsurance placements. Reporting directly to the Head of Account Management, you will play a critical role in the drafting, review and management of reinsurance documentation, supporting brokers, clients and markets throughout the placement lifecycle.
The business is open-minded regarding background and is keen to attract individuals with a genuine interest in contractual wordings, whether gained within a broker, insurer, syndicate, legal, compliance or technical reinsurance environment.
Responsibilities- Draft, review and produce a variety of reinsurance contracts and associated documentation.
- Analyse contractual language and identify potential coverage, technical or contractual issues.
- Support brokers and account management colleagues with contract-related queries throughout the placement process.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate and contract certainty requirements are met.
- Review and interpret market clauses and contractual provisions, making recommendations where appropriate.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to internal governance procedures, regulatory requirements and London Market standards.
- Maintain awareness of evolving market practices, regulatory developments and emerging trends impacting reinsurance contract wordings.
