Are you a hands-on Engineer who moved into an Operational Management Role? If so, the below position could be for you.
Location: 2-3 days a week on site in Central London
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum + bonus
Required Skills
- Stakeholder Engagement/Management: Proven experience with large scale stakeholder management
- Strong Business Understanding: In addition to technical knowledge, you will need to understand and manage within the business, being a key figure as part of the bigger picture
- Operational Leadership: Proven experience managing operations for large-scale data platforms, ensuring uptime, performance, and stakeholder confidence.
- Incident & SLA Management: Strong capability in incident triage, root cause analysis, escalation management, and designing/enforcing SLAs across teams.
- Azure Data Stack: Hands-on expertise with Azure Synapse, Databricks, ADF, and Power BI, including best practices and optimisation techniques.
- Automation & CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and automation tooling to streamline deployments and reduce manual overhead.
- FinOps: Experience driving cost management initiatives, providing usage insights, and facilitating stakeholder forums focused on cost efficiency.
- Monitoring & Observability: Understanding of modern monitoring, alerting, and data quality frameworks to ensure proactive health management of the platform.
