We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Pricing Analyst to join our B2B energy team in Leeds. This senior role will suit someone who has already worked in UK B2B energy pricing for several years and is now looking to take ownership of pricing approaches, challenge external benchmarks, and shape how we price and manage our portfolio.

You will sit within a stable and growing pricing function and play a key role in improving how we forecast and apply non‑energy components within our B2B pricing, ensuring our approaches are robust, competitive and aligned with market best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and enhance methodologies for forecasting non‑energy components used in B2B pricing
  • Build, maintain and improve pricing models (Excel and increasingly Python/Dataiku)
  • Benchmark internal forecasts against external sources (e.g. Cornwall Insight–style forecasts) and explain where and why we differ
  • Provide clear recommendations on pricing strategy, margins and risk, using your understanding of underlying cost drivers and competitor behaviour
  • Support complex and bespoke pricing for larger B2B customers, ensuring key inputs are correctly reflected in quotes and contracts
  • Work closely with pricing, commercial, finance, risk and data teams to embed improved approaches and processes
  • Contribute specialist input to key regulatory and market change projects (e.g. half‑hourly market changes) from a pricing perspective
  • Coach and support junior analysts, sharing best practice in pricing, modelling and commercial thinking
  • Present models, findings and recommendations to non‑technical stakeholders, including senior management
Skills & Experience
  • 3–5+ years of experience in UK B2B energy pricing or commercial analysis
  • Experience with non-energy cost components (e.g., network, policy, environmental factors) in B2B pricing
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and ability to build and maintain complex models
  • Hands-on experience with Python (or similar tools) in a real work setting, not just academic projects
  • Comfortable working with large, messy data sets and combining multiple sources for forecasting and pricing models
  • Ability to challenge and interpret external benchmarks (e.g., Cornwall Insight forecasts) and create internal comparison models
  • Strong commercial awareness – understands how pricing, cost drivers, and risk affect profitability and competitiveness
  • Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex methods and results clearly to non-technical audiences and influence decisions
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior analysts
Key Deliverables
  • Robust, documented and well‑understood forecasting and pricing models and methodologies
  • Clear, defensible pricing inputs and recommendations that support competitive and sustainable pricing decisions
  • Insightful analysis of drivers, market trends and competitor behaviour to inform pricing strategy
  • Embedded processes and tools that enable the wider pricing team to use and maintain models effectively
  • Visible uplift in the quality, consistency and insightfulness of pricing outputs across the B2B portfolio

If you have deep experience in B2B energy pricing and want to help shape how we forecast and price in a competitive market, we encourage you to apply.
