This is a great opportunity for someone with around 2-4 years’ experience in insurance finance/accounting who is ready for the next step and wants somewhere they can genuinely develop their career. This position is with a highly regarded global insurance business with a significant presence in both the London and US markets. They have the pedigree, financial strength, and infrastructure of a major international insurer, but the London operation is still growing giving people considerably more visibility and opportunity than you might typically expect.
It's ideally suited to someone who has built their foundations and now wants broader exposure, greater responsibility and a clear path to progress. You will gain exposure across Lloyd's syndicate reporting, PRA and UK branch reporting, statutory reporting for international entities and audit, while working closely with teams including Actuarial, Risk, Claims, Ceded Re and Underwriting.
There is also a systems transformation underway, so it’s a particularly interesting time to join if you enjoy improving processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
What are they looking for?
- Ideally around 3 years’ relevant experience within insurance finance/accounting.
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA would be ideal.
- A good understanding of an insurance balance sheet.
- Lloyd's/regulatory reporting experience is advantageous, but there is flexibility and will consider individuals from insurers, brokers and audit backgrounds where you will have worked with insurance clients.
- Solvency experience would be useful but isn't essential.
- Most importantly, someone bright, willing to learn and genuinely looking to progress.
A big attraction is the work/life balance that can be achieved in this position. This is a great opportunity to work for a global insurance name, where you will gain strong exposure, work with a supportive team and have genuine career progression.
