Founding Commercial Director - Remote but expected to be in and around London for 2 days a week for client meetings.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the commercial function end-to-end: pipeline, positioning, pricing, forecasting
  • Leading strategic, high-value deals from first conversation through to close
  • Building a clear, compelling commercial narrative in a complex market
  • Working closely with product and technical teams to win deals collaboratively
  • Hiring and building the team as the business scales

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven success in enterprise / consultative sales
  • Experience selling something new, complex, or not fully productised
  • Ability to build pipeline and close, not just one or the other
  • Someone who can turn instinct into process and structure
  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment, or a genuine desire to operate in one

You’re credible, commercially sharp, and comfortable operating without a fully built playbook.

The opportunity:

  • True ownership of the commercial function from day one
  • A direct path to CRO as the business scales
  • Founding-level influence on strategy and growth
  • High-value, complex deal exposure
  • The chance to define how a new category is sold

What’s on offer:

  • Meaningful equity — not token options
  • Close partnership with experienced founders on key deals

The reality:

This is a build role. There’s no fully built team, no perfect process, and no safety net. In return, you get ownership, impact, and the chance to build something significant from the ground up.
