I’m working with a small, high-calibre Series A product company building developer-facing software used by millions globally. They’re hiring a Backend / Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the systems behind the product, improve release reliability, and help scale the platform as they enter their next stage of growth.
This is roughly 2/3 backend engineering and 1/3 platform/infrastructure — so ideal for someone who enjoys building production systems, but also cares about deployment, observability, CI/CD, and making engineering teams faster.
- Backend services, APIs, data flows, and production systems
- Release safety, versioning, testing, rollbacks, and deployment reliability
- Infrastructure, observability, monitoring, and incident response
- Tooling and documentation that helps product engineers ship faster
- Strong TypeScript / Node.js experience
- CI/CD, infrastructure, monitoring/alerting, and reliability experience
- Developer tools, SDK, real-time collaboration, or local-first software experience
- Experience building infrastructure for products used by both users and developers
- Open-source or developer community involvement
This would suit someone who likes high ownership, technical depth, and building the kind of backend/platform foundations that let great product teams move quickly.
