Assessments Officer | Higher Education | SITS | Customer Service | Student Facing | Support and Advice | Academic Gravitas is currently supporting a London-based higher education organisation in their search for an Assessments Officer. Reporting to the Assessments and Progression Manager, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work to provide quality services to academics and students. You will be responsible for communicating with students via email, online meetings as well face to face whilst working to a 3–5-day SLA. You will be an approachable and enthusiastic first point of contact, answering enquiries and directing students to the correct location. Role: Assessment Officer – 2-year FTC Salary: Β£34,000 – Β£39,000 Location: London – 3 days a week on site Benefits: Pension scheme – USS pension scheme (19%-21%), Hours – 35 hours, Annual leave – 30 days + Uni Closure days + bank holidays. Essential Skills: Strong customer service experience – both written and verbal. Previous Higher Education experience. Strong communication skills – students, senior staff and stakeholder management. Experience working with committees (preparing for meetings, taking minutes and getting papers together) Desirable Skills: Previously involvement in SITS implementation projects. Good knowledge of SITS systems. Ability to present, negotiate and liaise – maintain processes. Ability to create and maintain a process You will have the ability and confidence to own the role and make it your own, taking a positive attitude to any tasks that come your way. Alongside student support you will be heavily involved in interaction with academics, including deputy deans, heads of school and departments – you will be confident on giving them advice and supporting on any issues with their students.
