Are you a senior higher education professional ready to take on a pivotal leadership role shaping academic administration across two vibrant campuses?
We are representing a specialist UK university with a proud heritage and ambitious future. Following significant investment and growth, the institution is seeking an Academic Registrar to join its senior leadership team to drive improvement to their registry services.
Responsibilities
- Be the strategic lead for student and academic administration, overseeing every aspect of the student lifecycle – from enrolment through to graduation.
- Shape and enhance the student journey across two dynamic campuses.
- Lead registry, governance, and compliance at the highest level, including OfS, HESA, SLC, and UKVI requirements.
- Act as the institution’s lead for Prevent and immigration compliance.
- Build and inspire a high-performing Registry team that thrives on innovation and service excellence.
- Work closely with the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, and senior leaders to translate academic strategy into real impact.
This is not a role for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. The university is seeking a visible, proactive leader who challenges existing practices, embraces innovation, and drives continuous improvement in everything they do.
About You
- Proven registry and academic administration leadership in a UK university setting.
- Extensive experience of quality assurance, academic governance, and statutory reporting.
- Confidence in leading teams through strategic change and service improvement.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, able to build trust across all levels.
- A student-first mindset, with a passion for delivering services that make a tangible difference.
- A postgraduate qualification and experience within health education are desirable but not essential.
