Location: London (hybrid, 2 days per week in-office)

The Strategic Investment & Asset Intelligence Lead oversees the strategic management of local housing assets through authoritative asset intelligence, long‑term investment planning, and evidence‑based asset strategies. This role exists within a dynamic team committed to shaping sustainable housing portfolios and data‑driven decision‑making.
The Lead is responsible for maintaining robust asset data governance, developing investment plans, and providing strategic advice on asset performance, compliance, and financial viability. Success is measured by the accuracy and insightfulness of asset intelligence, effective data governance, and the delivery of well‑founded investment strategies.
Key Skills & Experience
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Asset Management Strategy and supporting strategic plans.
- Manage asset data governance, quality assurance, and data collection programmes.
- Interpret complex datasets related to stock condition, lifecycle, compliance, and sustainability to support strategic decision‑making.
- Develop and maintain long‑term asset investment models, scenario testing, and lifecycle analysis.
- Influence capital investment decisions, business planning, and regulatory assurance through detailed analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with external consultants, surveyors, and data providers to ensure high‑quality outputs.
- Lead relationships with internal teams, external partners, and sector groups, representing the organisation at professional forums.
- Lead in promoting continuous improvement in asset governance, standards, and reporting systems.
Requirements
- Experience in housing, asset management, property, data analytics, or related discipline.
- Substantial experience in strategic asset management, investment planning, or property strategy.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex datasets, asset management systems, and analytics tools including Power BI and Excel.
- Strong strategic judgement and problem‑solving skills for balancing safety, compliance, affordability, and asset performance.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide professional challenge without direct authority.
- High level of integrity, resilience, and capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
